Viewing Recommendations
I recommend viewing this site at a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. This is a very structured site with menus put in placed with a 'fixed' position scheme, meaning that they will not move. If you are using a low screen resolution, the top and side menus may not display properly. If you are using a PC, the screen resolution can be changed by right clicking on the desktop and clicking the settings tab. You can then scroll over to a higher screen resolution. Further, I would recommend using a 'compliant' web browser to allow all functions and settings to work properly. Complient browsers include Firefox, Mozilla, and Netscape. Internet Explorer is not complient and may result in some viewing errors.
Purpose
This site is designed as an educational resource for non-scientists and particularly children to learn about plants that eat insects, spiders, and other creepy, crawling things. You are free to use any of the written material on this site to teach students, or to learn about these interesting plants, just please give credit back to this site. If you would like higher resolution of any of my pictures, just ask. Please note that I have special permission to use photos from other people, it would be against copyright laws for you to use those without their permission. Such photos will have a copyright from that person and a link to their website.
Resources

This site is written with fixed menus that may not print well. To help with this problem, under the menu button 'Resources' on the pages with the plant names, you will find PDF files for download. These have been formatted to be used as teaching handouts. Down the road I plan to have some of the pictures from the photogallery with details about that picture as PDF files as well as pages to be used to color on for younger kids.
About The Menus
It can be easy to get lost in the menus on this site, so let me explain them. There are four menus total. The first is on every single page and is displayed at the top of the page in the solid black box. That is the plant menu with all the plants listed, but it also includes the Growing and Links page as the first and last link respectively.
Next, the Main Menu is the menu from the Home Page which you can get back to by clicking Home on any menu, or the Logo in the top menu. This menu contains the following links:

The next menu is found on the Growing CPs page. This is the page that teaches you about the growing conditions for plants and also how to construct your very own growing environment from a windowsill to a very large terrarium. The top panel of links all have the same links, the bottom panel contains a link for Home and Contact Me and will move you back to the Main Menu. The middle panel goes to the Plants page.
The final menu on the site is the Plants Menu. This menu has a link to each plant on the top panel and the bottom is for Resources, Growing, and some other menus we have already seen.
